Privacy Statement

The person responsible for processing personal data is the University of Liège (ULiège Library), whose registered office is at Place du 20-Août, 7, 4000 Liège. The University of Liège (ULiège Library) is a public institution with a dual legal personality: it acts, on the one hand, as the French Community of Belgium (of which it is a decentralized body) (0807.970.507) and, on the other hand, as a decentralized and autonomous public establishment, called "le Patrimoine de l'Université de Liège" (0325.777.171).

Processing of personal data

Personal data must be understood, within the meaning of the RGPD, as "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person." This data brings together all information that makes it possible to identify a natural person, "directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity."

The processing of such data is understood in the broadest sense. This includes "collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction."
